The Bobby Martin Cook Out CD has a variety of styles of singing by Bobby and styles of playing the vibes for your listening and dancing pleasures, that’s if you like to dance. These songs are from the Bobby Martin song book except one, “Back in Love Again”. Check out all the cuts. There is a message in the singing stories and the instrumentals. Bobby is at home with the vibes which he has been playing since 1946. That was when he met Lionel Hampton who was appearing with his own big band and had a hit record called, “Flying Home". The last cut on this CD “I Remember Lionel Hampton” was also written by Bobby. He used the star dust chord changes to give memory of Lionel Hampton and his great hit recording on the vibes of the song, “Star Dust”, in 1947 at the Pasadena California Ambassador Auditorium.

Bobby has played with scores of groups. The Len Hope Orchestra was one that brought him to Philadelphia Pennsylvania, where he eventually wound up in the Recording Business as a producer, composer and arranger. Bobby played vibes on some of the Philly Sound recordings, but Vince Montana was the main Vibraphone player on the Philly sound MFSB recording. While Bobby was busy doing producing, composing, arranging, conducting and played the vibes and conducted the MFSB Orechestra while on the road.

From this website, you are able to buy all the new music of Bobby Maritn, The man behind the music, cooking up a variety of music for your enjoyment.

For downloads, the song, “Mama Said No!” is a must for all mothers who love their children and all children that love their mothers. The question is: Can a person young or old get the Blues? The answer is: Yes they can. Listen as Bobby demonstrates a blues ? as he humbly admits what his mother said was right. Check out the feature song, Hey Ice Cream Man!, Booney and Mine Mine Zo which means walk slow. This idea was taken from what Bobby calls the pioneer stroll his way of walking. He turned it into a love song and since he worked mostly in the Chinese community and spoke Mandarin Chinese, he sings part of Mine Mine Zo in Chinese.
